This role is based at Hackney New Primary School.

In this role, you will:

  • Make a direct impact on pupils' learning, wellbeing and inclusion by providing targeted support, delivering structured interventions and promoting positive engagement in school life.

  • Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, school leaders and the wider SEND Provision Team to ensure pupils receive high-quality support tailored to their needs.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a Trust that is deliberate about how it improves practice and outcomes.

Compass Eko Trust is a family of 28 schools working as one system to improve outcomes for every child. We are united by a clear commitment: every child achieving, without exception.

Through a knowledge-rich curriculum, strong professional collaboration and a shared commitment to excellence, we support our schools to deliver high-quality education in their communities.

Our schools sit at the heart of everything we do. The Trust exists to bring clarity, consistency and support so leaders can focus on what matters most - teaching and learning.

We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our SEND Support Hub/Resource Provision at Hackney New Primary School.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with children and a passion for supporting pupils with additional needs. You will be patient, resilient and able to build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.

Working under the direction of teachers and the SENDCo, you will support pupils with a range of SEND, including communication and interaction needs, cognition and learning needs, and social, emotional and mental health needs. You will help pupils access learning, develop confidence and independence, and participate fully in school life.

This role would suit someone who is committed to inclusive education and who believes that every child can succeed with the right support.

As part of our Trust, you will be part of a professional community where:

  • Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) or Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS)

  • Access to a structured programme of professional development

  • Opportunities to work across schools and develop your career

  • Employee Assistance Programme with 24/7 confidential support

  • Access to staff benefits and discount schemes

  • Family-friendly policies and flexible working options where possible
