Teaching Assistant (with ELSA provision)

We would like to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work within our Trust at Great Bookham School who would also take an interest in the ELSA provision. The Role is to support teaching and learning in the classroom and/or pre-school alongside the teacher is a variety of different roles. The position requires good interpersonal skills and a strong desire to develop and support children in all areas of school. 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

- Have a passion for making a difference to the life chances of individuals.

- Have high expectations for all and a great team spirit

- Be willing to get involved with all aspects of school life, which may include lunchtime support.

- Have experience delivering pastoral and/or targeted curriculum interventions.

- Would like school experience prior to pursuing a career in teaching or working with children.

- Hold a Level 3 EYFS qualification

Great Bookham School is part of South Farnham Educational Trust - A multi-academy trust which currently consists of eleven schools.  We also have an associate member of the Trust - St Mary's C of E (Aided) Infant School.

Our thriving School Centred Initial Teacher Training establishment (SCITT) has over 100 trainees and from September 2022 South Farnham School was awarded Teaching School Hub status which is a fantastic accolade for both the school and Trust.

The role is for 32.5hrs a week, Monday to Friday. Term time only (38 weeks a year).
