Teaching Assistant

Tutor

Brompton Hall School · Scarborough · North Yorkshire

Job description

Are you an experienced and engaging Tutor looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference ? We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and resilient Tutor to join our expanding team and support the delivery of our Gateway provision. This unique role focuses on working with small groups of Key Stage 4 pupils who are disengaged from education and require bespoke support to re-engage with learning.

As a key member of the Gateway team, you will be the first point of contact for pupils and their families, building positive relationships that encourage attendance, participation and progress. Through the planning and delivery of innovative classroom-based learning, enrichment opportunities and off-site activities, you will help create meaningful educational experiences that inspire young people to reconnect with their learning journey.

This role is ideal for someone who can think creatively, adapt their approach to meet individual needs, and develop engaging learning opportunities that motivate pupils who may have previously experienced barriers to education. You will use your skills, knowledge and initiative to deliver personalised learning programmes, working closely with pupils, families and colleagues to support successful outcomes.

The role is wonderfully varied and will involve working both within and beyond the classroom environment. You will lead and support small group sessions, deliver enrichment activities, and facilitate learning experiences in a range of settings. You will be confident in building rapport, maintaining high expectations, and creating positive relationships that help pupils develop confidence, resilience and a renewed engagement with education.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and committed to helping them realise their potential.

This role is 39 weeks per year, 37 hours per week (term time plus 5 training days)
