After School Club Playworker

To supervise and organise activities at our After School Club, to ensure a safe and positive learning environment is maintained and that all children behave in an appropriate manner.

12 hours per week - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 2 hours 30 minutes (3.30pm-6pm) per day and Wednesday 2 hours (3.30pm-5.30pm). Term time only (38 weeks per year), permanent contract.

Who we are looking for

A person who has the following skills:

Able to communicate clearly, understand and follow instructions

Experience of planning and organising play activities for children aged 3 to 11 years old

Ability to communicate with a wide range of people

Be able to talk to children and adults in a clear and calm manner

Work as part of a group and on own initiative

Encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times

Initiate games and activities appropriate to the age of the children

Inspire trust and confidence in children

Ability to empathise with the needs of children
