Why join us?
Enfield Heights Academy is a thriving, inclusive primary school and a proud member of North Star Community Trust, a family of schools united by the belief that we are Stronger Together. The Trust plays a vital role in the communities it serves, creating real, lasting change through education, opportunity and support. At Enfield Heights we share the Trust's vision, to help every child succeed at school and in life. We live by the values of Education, Community, Opportunity, ensuring every pupil receives an excellent education, feel part of a strong and caring community, and has the chance to grow into a confident, well-rounded individual.
Enfield Heights is a happy, high-achieving and inclusive primary school, ranked in the top 10% nationally for outcomes. We are proud to serve a richly diverse community, where every child is known, valued and inspired to thrive. Our vision goes beyond academic success—we are committed to developing the whole child, nurturing curiosity, creativity and confidence. Joining our team means becoming part of a passionate, caring and forward-thinking group of educators and support staff. We work together to make a real difference in children’s lives and we are looking for individuals who share our values and believe in the power of education to transform futures.
About the role
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Breakfast Club Playleader to join our team at Enfield Heights Academy. You will be responsible for helping to run our breakfast club, supervising children aged 4-11 and making sure they have a safe and enjoyable start to the school day.
You will organise fun activities such as arts and crafts, games, reading and outdoor play, while encouraging children to build friendships and develop their confidence. You will also help prepare and serve breakfast, support children with their individual needs and ensure the club runs smoothly. If you enjoy working with children and creating a positive, welcoming environment, we would love to hear from you!
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can help create a safe, friendly and welcoming breakfast club. You will have experience working with primary-aged children, be confident organising fun activities and know how to encourage positive behaviour.
You should have good communication and organisational skills, be able to work well as part of a team and understand the importance of safeguarding and keeping children safe. A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, playwork or a related subject is required, or you should be willing to work towards one. You will also need a Paediatric First Aid qualification and a Food Hygiene Certificate, or be willing to undertake the relevant training.
What we offer
We are committed to being a supportive, caring and rewarding place to work and learn, and to being an employer of choice. A full overview of our offer, including staff benefits, our People Plan and what our staff say about working with us, can be found in the supporting documents attached.

Equal opportunities
We are committed to fostering a positive and inclusive working culture that reflects our Trust's ethos of being ‘Stronger Together.’ The Trust is committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all. It aims to create a working environment in which all individuals are able to make best use of their skills, free from discrimination or harassment, and in which all decisions are based on merit.
