Job description
The Rosary Catholic Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, reflective and motivated teacher to join our caring and ambitious school community. This post is a 0.72 FTE fixed term until August 2027 teaching a KS2 class mornings only, Monday to Friday, in the first instance.
At Rosary, our mission is rooted in our Catholic faith and guided by our core values of Love, Inclusivity, Respect, Curiosity and Aspiration. We are committed to ensuring that every pupil - and every member of staff - is supported to grow, flourish and achieve their full potential.
We recognise that the early years of teaching are crucial, and we pride ourselves on providing a high-quality, supportive and structured induction experience for ECTs.
We are looking for a teacher who:
- Is passionate about teaching and committed to becoming an excellent classroom practitioner.
- Has high expectations for all pupils, with a belief that every child can succeed.
- Creates a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
- Is eager to learn, reflect and develop their practice, making the most of coaching, feedback and professional development opportunities.
- Is committed to supporting all learners, including those who are disadvantaged or have SEND.
- Is motivated to contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold our Catholic ethos and values.
We can offer:
- A comprehensive and supportive ECT induction programme, including:
- A dedicated mentor and regular coaching
- Structured release time
- High-quality CPD aligned with evidence-informed practice (including approaches such as EEF strategies and WalkThrus)
- Opportunities to observe excellent practice across the school
- A welcoming and collaborative staff team who will support you every step of the way.
- Well-behaved, enthusiastic pupils who are eager to learn and take pride in their school.
- A strong, values-driven culture where relationships and wellbeing are prioritised.
- A supportive and approachable Senior Leadership Team, committed to developing confident, skilled teachers.
At Rosary, you will not just begin your teaching career - you will be supported to thrive, grow in confidence and make a real difference to children’s lives.
Visits to the school are warmly welcomed and strongly encouraged.
Please contact our Office Manager, Mrs Mace, at admin@rosary.gloucs.sch.uk for further information or to arrange a visit.
The post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and all convictions or cautions must be declared.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff, and volunteers, to share the same commitment. This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitability check to satisfy child protection requirements.
Applications are handled on Teaching Vacancies (GOV.UK).
