Job description
- Be a practicing Catholic and/or be in sympathy and supportive of the Catholic ethos of the school
- Be an excellent teacher with qualifications or experience appropriate to primary education
- To have a commitment to raising standards for all pupils
- A commitment to providing a high quality learning environment which meets the physical, emotional, social and educational needs of the children.
- Have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Have good practice in classroom management, including the provision for equal opportunities
- Excellent written and oral presentational skills; appropriate ICT skills.
- Have the ability to maintain class records and assessments
- Have the ability to use initiative and work as a flexible and cooperative member of a team
- Have the ability to meet the pastoral needs of children and maintain high standards of behaviour
- Have the ability to relate positively with adults and children and a commitment to partnership with the Executive Headteacher, governors, staff, parents and the wider community.
- Have the ability to coordinate a subject area
- Have good interpersonal skills, a sense of humour and enjoy getting involved in the aspects of the wider life of the school.
- Fully adhere to all school policies
