About the Role
Cumbria Education Trust is seeking an exceptional and strategic Director of Transformation to join our Executive Team at a pivotal stage in our growth.
This is a rare opportunity to take on a high-impact senior leadership role, shaping the future direction of one of Cumbria’s largest multi-academy trusts. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead Trust-wide transformation, ensuring our operations, systems, and resources are aligned to deliver the very best outcomes for every pupil.
You will combine strategic financial leadership with operational excellence, driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth across the Trust.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Director of Transformation is a senior strategic leader responsible for:
- Driving Trust-wide transformation and organisational change
- Leading central services including Finance, HR, IT, Operations, Estates, and Communications
- Ensuring financial sustainability, operational excellence, and strategic resource planning
- Embedding a high-performance, values-driven culture across the Trust
About You
You are a credible and experienced senior leader with a strong track record of delivering strategic change, operational improvement, and financial performance in complex organisations. As a qualified accountant , you bring strong commercial and analytical insight, alongside the ability to influence and inspire at Board and Executive level.
Values-driven and outcomes-focused, you are committed to improving education and thrive in fast-paced environments. You lead collaboratively, build high-performing teams, and have the resilience and credibility to drive transformation and deliver lasting impact.
