Headteacher

St Margaret's Church of England Primary School · Solihull · Solihull

Job description

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and inspiring school leader to lead our school in Solihull. We are seeking to appoint a person who is able to develop and lead a strong Christian vision and who fully understands the Christian distinctiveness of a Church of England school. We are therefore looking for a headteacher who will actively support and promote our Christian ethos in every aspect of school life.

We begin with the vision and values of BDMAT, believing that success is found in who you are, within a community, as well as what you do. We aim to provide an outstanding education, supported by excellent pastoral care and high standards of behaviour. We want to equip our pupils with academic achievement, experiences, and personal attributes to enable them to succeed in the next stage of their education.

St. Margaret’s is a successful and oversubscribed school enjoying a good reputation in the local area. We strive to ensure that we support children’s development in its widest sense - academic, emotional, creative, physical, spiritual, moral and cultural. We are a small church school and we hope to create a family atmosphere with strong Christian values in which everyone can feel welcome and valued.

The most recent external judgements of the school by Ofsted and the Diocese describe the school as follows:

Christian faith and values radiate from this school because it seeks the best for everyone, recognising that it is possible for all to discover ‘life in all its fullness’.

Belonging to the Birmingham Diocesan Multi Academy Trust (BDMAT), we are firmly aligned with the vision that Clothed in LOVE (Colossians 3:14) we are a united family of schools serving our communities and helping ALL to flourish. For us, this means ensuring that our children thrive academically, socially and spiritually. We work to ensure that they have wide-reaching experiences that make them aware of, and excited by, their local area as well as the wider world around them. We want our children to experience joy and wonder every day and we strive for them to be eager, inquisitive learners who live by our core values every day.

Visits to the school are very much welcomed and encouraged. Please contact Danietha Hayden on d.hayden@bdmat.org.uk to make arrangements.

Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT) is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We welcome applications from underrepresented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion. BDMAT is a Disability Confident employer.
