Teaching Assistant

HLTA

St. Edmund's Church of England Primary School · Sevenoaks · Kent

Job description

About the Role

We are looking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic and highly effective Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at St Edmund's CE Primary School.

This is a varied and rewarding role that will see you working across the school, teaching whole classes during teachers' PPA time, providing occasional classroom cover and supporting pupils to achieve their very best. You will play an important role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while helping to create a calm, nurturing and inclusive environment where all children can flourish.

Working closely with class teachers and school leaders, you will support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences, provide targeted support to individuals and groups of pupils, and contribute to raising achievement across the school. You will be confident leading learning independently, whilst also being a collaborative team player who enjoys working alongside colleagues to meet the needs of every child.

The successful candidate will have high expectations for all pupils, excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping children succeed. They will be flexible, proactive and committed to supporting the wider life of the school, including educational visits, sporting events and enrichment opportunities.

At St Edmund's, we pride ourselves on our welcoming school community, supportive staff team and commitment to ensuring every child is known, valued and enabled to flourish. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or aspiring teacher looking to develop their skills within a caring and ambitious school.
