Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Forge Wood Primary on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will support the class teacher in accessing an engaging curriculum. They will be a talented and professional individual who shares our vision of high aspirations, achievement and a passion for learning. They will be prepared to work hard and respond positively to the challenges of day to day school life and be a strong team player.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate should:

• Be dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated
• Be able to develop positive relationships with young children
• Be able to stay calm and objective when presented with unusual or challenging behaviour
• Be enthusiastic and committed to working as part of a team
• Be a confident and clear communicator with parents
• Have GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above

The Details

Start Date: ASAP 

Salary: GLF Associate 2 Point 1 - £24,751

Actual Salary: £19,814.45 (based on 33.5hrs) 

Hours: Term Time Only - Preferably full time hours  33.5hrs a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri 08.30 – 15.30 & Wed 08.30 – 16.30)  although we are able to consider part time also. If part time would be your preference, please state this in your supporting statement.
