Teaching Assistant

Learning Support Assistant

Ranelagh School · Bracknell · Bracknell Forest

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a patient, calm and caring Learning Support Assistant to join our growing team.

The Learning Support Assistant will support students, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, to access learning, make progress, develop independence and participate fully in school life.

The postholder will work under the direction of the SENDCo, teaching staff and other relevant colleagues to provide in-class support, small-group intervention, one-to-one support where appropriate, and assistance with students’ social, emotional and personal development.

The role requires a commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, high expectations, confidentiality and positive relationships with young people

Ranelagh is an 11-18 coeducational, Anglican Academy (converter) which is oversubscribed and has an excellent reputation for academic achievement and positive school ethos. The school has had four ‘outstanding’ Ofsted reports but we are not complacent and as such the provision for professional learning and development is something of which we are all very proud.

Please do take time to read the job descriptions and person specifications. Potential candidates may also wish to know that our admissions policy enables the school to prioritise the admission of children of staff recruited to posts in which there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. All staff employed in the school must be aware that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be undertaken.

If you are interested in learning more about the position, please contact the Headteacher via the recruitment team, on 01344 421233 or by email, recruitment@ranelagh.org.uk
