Music Technician

Coleridge Community College · Cambridge · Cambridgeshire

Job description

Coleridge Community College is now seeking a talented Music Technician to join their Performing Arts Department. In this varied part-time role, you will be an integral part of the team, facilitating the smooth running of the department. You will be hardworking, energetic and highly enthusiastic about music and music technology.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to use their initiative but be equally happy to follow instructions. Good knowledge of Music software is a must, as is an understanding of how to ‘tech’ live performance and maintain generic ‘pop’ instruments and equipment. An interest in composition would be helpful.

The role is part time, term time only (22.5hrs/wk).

About Coleridge Community College

Our mission is to bring out ‘the best in everyone’.  Our most important purpose is to teach young people things they would not learn outside school which empower them.  We believe that ‘Knowledge Is Power’. We believe in teaching through explicit instruction (Rosenshine and Engelmann) and utilising TLAC 3.0 and Walkthru techniques.  We are unapologetically ambitious for every child, no matter what their background, prior attainment or needs.  We also believe in ‘Education with Character’ - we want young people to look back on a schooling that has inspired and challenged them, given them wide opportunity and prepared them for life. We believe that our school provides an excellent education for all students.  We are looking for people that share this belief and passionately believe in doing what it takes to ensure that all children can achieve.
