Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Assistant to provide day-to-day pastoral, behavioural and attendance support for a designated year group. Working closely with the Head of Year, you will play a key role in promoting student wellbeing, supporting positive behaviour, improving attendance and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
You will build strong relationships with students, families and staff, implementing targeted interventions and providing practical support to help young people succeed both academically and personally. The role includes monitoring attendance and behaviour, maintaining accurate records, supporting safeguarding processes and contributing to a calm, safe and inclusive school environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is resilient, empathetic and committed to making a positive difference. You will work as part of a supportive pastoral team, helping to ensure every student feels valued, supported and empowered to achieve their full potential.
Applications are handled on Teaching Vacancies (GOV.UK).
