Post 16 Support Officer

Salary: Grade 7, Points 12-19 (Meridian Trust), £25,193 actual (£28,598 FTE)

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, Term Time + Training Days + 5 days to be worked during school closure period

We are looking to appoint a Post 16 Support Officer to support the Sixth form leadership team in the running of the Sixth Form centre. A great chance to work with a strong, fun enthusiastic team, providing administrative and pastoral support to the Sixth Form leadership and promote positive behaviour of all students.

The opportunity

• Administrative support for the Sixth Form centre
• Support the Sixth Form Leadership with student attendance and punctuality.
• Attend regular meetings with external agencies to provide the best support for students.
• Maintain a good relationship with parents and act as first point of call for parental enquiries.

The ideal candidate

• Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience of administration background, education and working with young people
• Positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative.
• Knowledge of the need for confidentiality and awareness of child protection issues
• Flexibility of working hours, committed and reliable with excellent timekeeping
