37 hours per week all year
Working closely with the Site Compliance Manager, you will lead and coordinate all non-compliance premises operations, manage the site team, and ensure high standards across buildings and grounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and support premises, maintenance, and caretaking staff, including the cleaning function
- Oversee the maintenance helpdesk system and coordinate responses to staff requests
- Plan and deliver a programme of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs
- Ensure the effective operation, upkeep, and presentation of the school site and grounds
- Manage site security, including key holding, alarm response, and incident reporting
- Coordinate site access, lettings, and contractor activities
- Maintain accurate records, including security logs and key registers
- Support health & safety and fire arrangements across the site
About You
We are looking for a candidate who:
- Has relevant experience in property maintenance, facilities, or a related trade
- Has experience supervising or leading a team
- Possesses strong practical maintenance skills across a range of disciplines
- Is highly organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively
- Has experience using maintenance or helpdesk systems
- Demonstrates a proactive, solution-focused approach
- Communicates effectively with staff, contractors, and external agencies
A relevant trade qualification (or working towards one) and experience in a school or similar environment would be advantageous.
