Job description

Kisharon Langdon is seeking a School Trustee with a particular remit for Quality of Education at Kisharon Noé School.

Kisharon Noé School is a specialist school supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and autism within an Orthodox Jewish ethos. We are ambitious for every pupil and committed to providing high quality, inclusive education that enables each young person to make meaningful progress and prepare successfully for adulthood.

As a member of the Kisharon Langdon Board of Trustees, you will take a particular interest in thequality of education at Kisharon Noé School, helping the Board to understand how effectively the school is delivering its educational vision and securing strong outcomes for pupils.

You will provide strategic scrutiny, challenge and assurance around areas including curriculum quality, teaching and learning, pupil progress and outcomes, preparation for adulthood and continuous school improvement. You will consider performance and quality information, engage with school leaders and undertake purposeful school visits to help the Board triangulate the evidence it receives.

We are looking for someone who is curious, thoughtful and ambitious for children and young people with SEND. You will be able to think strategically, interpret information and ask constructive and appropriately challenging questions.

Experience of education, SEND, school improvement, curriculum, teaching and learning or quality assurancewould be particularly valuable. Previous trustee or governance experience is welcome but is not essential.
