SEMH Teaching Assistant (Level 2)
TA Grade 2, Point 5-6 (£25,583- £25,989 FTE)
Permanent position available, starting September 2026
30.50 hours per week, term time only plus TEDs
We have an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting students with their Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, working in conjunction with the SENDCo to implement approved work, care and support programmes. The successful candidate will be required to work with young people (11-16) on a 1:1 basis as well as groups of students, providing opportunities for learning and positive social interaction inside and outside of the classroom.
The post-holder will liaise closely with the SENDCo on strategies to maximise inclusion academically, socially and emotionally and promote strong links with the student’s parents/carers. The successful candidate will have a shared commitment to our values and must have the ability to form positive working relationships, working closely with outside professionals to best support the student.
