Job description

Cherry Fields Primary School are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to support the teacher with their responsibility for the development and exceptional education of a child with special educational needs, using routine supervision and care skills to support the child

This role would be supporting a child on a one to one basis and to assist in the delivery of educational work programmes for the specific child by participating in day to day learning activities, supporting the child so that they achieve to the best of their abilities.  Ideally you will be an experienced Learning Assistant, but whatever your level of experience please use the supporting statement on the application form to show us how you match the skills we need and what you can bring to the role.

The Details

Start Date: September 2026

FTE Salary: GLF Associate 2 Point 1 £23,914 Pro-rata (actual) salary: £18,572

Hours: 8:15am-3:15pm Monday - Friday 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time)

Contract: Permanent

Closing Date: 16th August 2026
