Senior Attendance Officer

The postholder will retain a caseload and undertake all core attendance officer duties, while also supporting the Attendance Lead in directing and developing the attendance team, coordinating targeted intervention for priority cohorts, ensuring statutory and legal compliance in attendance processes, and contributing to the development and implementation of attendance strategy.

This role is well suited to an experienced Attendance Officer looking to take on greater responsibility, play a part in decision-making and influence attendance outcomes across the academy.

The role requires the ability to work closely with families, including undertaking home visits, holding difficult conversations, and setting clear expectations and targets to improve attendance. In the absence of the Attendance Lead, the Senior Attendance Officer will take operational responsibility for attendance provision across the academy.
