Job description
Key Responsibilities
Support the security of the school site, including locking and unlocking buildings and gates
Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs across the premises
Maintain high standards of cleanliness internally and externally, including grounds
Assist with setting up and clearing spaces for school events and activities
Monitor building systems such as heating, lighting and plumbing, reporting issues promptly
Support grounds maintenance, including seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance and gritting
Skills and Experience
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a caretaking, site or maintenance role
Practical skills in general maintenance and basic repairs
Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Physically able to undertake manual tasks associated with the role
Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a team
