Highgate Primary Academy | 20 hours per week | Permanent | Start Date: September

Working Hours per week: 8:30am-1:00pm

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable SEND Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in a nurturing school where every child is supported to succeed and celebrated for who they are.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing tailored support, helping them access learning and thrive in a nurturing environment.
  • Supporting the delivery of a therapeutic, broad, and balanced curriculum that meets individual needs.
  • Working closely with teachers and senior leaders to adapt learning experiences in line with statutory SEND requirements.
  • Attending to pupils’ health, welfare, and personal care needs, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.

  • Patient and adaptable, with a genuine commitment to inclusive education.
  • A team player, able to work closely with teachers and support staff to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Compassionate and calm, skilled in supporting children with Autism and communication needs.
  • Observant and proactive, able to spot barriers to learning and help remove them.
  • Confident in building positive relationships with pupils, families, and the wider school community.
