We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people to succeed. You will have experience working with children, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships while promoting inclusion, independence and high expectations for all pupils.

Key responsibilities:

Reporting to the Senco, Phase Lead, or Headteacher, this post holder will be accountable for:

  • Support pupils individually and in small groups to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with teachers to deliver planned learning activities and provide feedback on pupil progress, achievement and behaviour.
  • Promote positive behaviour, inclusion and pupil wellbeing, creating a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of individual education plans, behaviour strategies and personal care programmes where required.
  • Prepare learning resources and support the effective use of ICT to enhance pupil engagement and independence.

Pay range:

SCP 8 - 13 £24,370.82 - £26,406.05 (FTE: £27,709.00 - £30,023.00)

37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Qualifications and Skills:

  • GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent
  • TA2 qualification or relevant experience
  • Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting
  • Ability to model acceptable behaviours and encourage good social skills
