Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/07/2027

Salary: Grade D3-4, £25614 FTE - £11,615.77 actual per annum

Ryhall CE Academy is a friendly, welcoming school with a strong Christian ethos, where we aim to “Live life in all its fullness, Make Memories and Build Futures.” We are proud of our inclusive culture and our commitment to ensuring every child flourishes both academically and personally. We are committed to developing the whole child - emotionally, intellectually, physically, academically, and spiritually. We have a family-feel school, with talented staff, and an emphasis on developing each child’s skills, talents, and confidence. Our highly professional staff team works hard to create lifelong experiences and memories, so that when children leave us, they are well-prepared for secondary school and carry fond memories of their primary years.

We are a small enough to know our pupils really well, yet big enough to be able to participate in some of the large events that really help to build our pupil’s character. We are tucked away in the beautiful village of Ryhall, and we have the most wonderful facilities to support our curriculum. In our extensive outdoor area, we have a beautiful wildlife garden that hosts our bird watching observatory, mini beast hotels, and reflection space, a trim-trail, games pitch, outdoor stage and vegetable gardens.

‘My school is special because it makes me feel like my voice is heard and has worth.’ OFSTED Inspection, February 2023.

Ryhall CE Academy is seeking to appoint a caring, adaptable and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing team. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils who benefit from a highly individualised approach to learning, social development and emotional regulation. The role would entail supervising and supporting pupils in the learning environment, whilst assisting the teacher with the implementation of pupil education and Quality First Teaching. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils engage with learning, develop confidence and make progress, while contributing to a positive, nurturing and purposeful learning environment.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and positive about their role in education and contribution to our whole school community
  • Is committed to supporting, motivating, and challenging the learning of children of all abilities within the classroom
  • Can work creatively with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment, meeting the needs of the pupils and curriculum
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
  • Understands the importance of inclusion and meeting the needs of all learners.
  • Builds positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
  • Demonstrates flexibility, initiative and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school.
  • Shares our commitment to providing an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Is keen to support the ethos of a Church school.
  • Understands the importance of Child Protection and is committed to the safeguarding of children’s welfare- both at home and in school.
