Job Title: Wraparound Care Assistant

At The Norman Church of England Primary School we are committed to creating the foundations to build successful futures. We are looking for a dedicated Wraparound Care Assistant to join our supportive team to provide high quality support in our Breakfast Club/Afterschool Club provision.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan activities appropriate to the age and the needs of the pupils taking into account different areas of learning
  • Ensure the room is set up to receive pupils into a purposeful environment
  • Organise refreshments, serving healthy foods and ensure pupil's individual needs are met
  • Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with each other and engage all pupils in activities
  • Be able to support pupils in their play, while maintaining their safety and following the school's behaviour policy

Pay, Hours and Contract:

  • £24,796 FTE
  • Pro-rata salary: approximately £8,613.69
  • 15 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 38 weeks per year
  • Permanent contract

Qualifications and skills:

  • A minimum qualification of GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (previously Grade C) or above, or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in preparing and serving healthy snacks
  • Strong organisational, personal time management and panning skills
  • High levels of collaboration, cooperation and team working capabilities
  • Ability to build effective relationships with colleagues, parents/carers and members of the community
