Key aspects of the role will include:

  • Be part of the day‑to‑day running of the school office, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front‑of‑house service
  • Manage pupil data, attendance processes and statutory returns
  • Support the School Business Manager with financial transactions and other administrative tasks
  • Prepare and monitor risk assessments for school trips and activities
  • Support safeguarding administration, ensuring accurate and confidential record‑keeping
  • Ensure effective use of the school’s MIS and administrative systems
  • Provide high‑quality administrative support to the Headteacher and Teaching Staff

You will be part of a warm, supportive school community where every member of staff plays a key role in shaping children’s experiences. We offer:

  • Opportunities for professional development and training
  • Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Staff wellbeing initiatives including discount schemes
  • Cycle‑to‑Work Scheme
  • A friendly, collaborative team and a wonderful village school environment

We are seeking an Attendance & Administration Officer with:

  • Previous experience working in a school office
  • Experience with Arbor & other school online systems
  • Experience with Attendance & managing it within a school
  • Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a busy school environment
  • GCSE A*-C or equivalent in English and Maths
  • A calm, professional manner and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check, along with satisfactory references and other pre‑employment checks.
