Job description
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team for early morning shifts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across various classrooms and work spaces. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous janitorial experience or those eager to develop their skills in commercial cleaning. The position is suitable for organised, hardworking individuals who take pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, offices, washrooms, and communal areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene are maintained
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to ensure all areas are spotless
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly to prevent the spread of germs
- Restock cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning to the supervisor
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Complete cleaning tasks within designated timeframes to meet operational requirements
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to ensure thorough cleaning standards are met
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently during early morning shifts
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices is advantageous

Hours - Monday to Friday, term time only. 0600-0730. Could start slightly earlier.
