Job description
Do you have a passion for supporting young children's learning and development and enjoy working independently, as well as as part of a team?
We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic HLTA to join our friendly team: to work in all classes across the school, undertaking PPA and staff cover.
The person appointed would need the skills and qualities necessary to demonstrate they can take responsibility for agreed learning activities (which may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes). They will monitor pupils, assess, record and report pupils’ achievement, progress and development to the class teacher. The successful candidate will have a secure level of understanding of SEND needs and the ability to promote consistently high levels of behaviour and learning.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- An HLTA qualification or above or can demonstrate that they can meet the HLTA standards.
- The ability to work independently and use their own initiative.
- A positive and nurturing manner.
- Knowledge of a range of learning and behaviour strategies.
- Knowledge or experience of Read, Write Inc. phonics programme.
