Support Staff

Peripatetic Teacher

Barclay Academy · Stevenage · Hertfordshire

Job description

Job Role

We are developing an academic culture at Barclay Academy where the highest standards are expected of staff and students. It is a dynamic school, where students and staff are exceptionally well supported.

Learning to play a musical instrument is an important and valuable experience for students at Barclay Academy. The Music Department seeks to employ a peripatetic piano teacher to deliver 1-2-1 piano lessons and small group teaching.

This position requires you to be self-employed. Teaching days can be negotiated and instrumental lessons will be timetabled in blocks of time during the school day (8.30am-3.05pm). After school extra-curricular activities run from 3.10pm-4.10pm.

This is a great opportunity to make a positive contribution to the lives of young people. Come and join a transformative team at Barclay Academy where you can make an immediate and real difference alongside a totally committed and dedicated group of professionals.

We can offer you:

  1. A friendly and supportive staff community.
  2. The opportunity to work within an innovative and ambitious family of schools.
  3. The opportunity to work with enthusiastic and hardworking students.
  4. High quality facilities with excellent resources.
  5. A location easily accessible by train and bus.

If you think you have what we are looking for, we very much look forward to hearing from you.

Please note that Future Academies reserves the right to appoint at any stage during the recruitment process.

Future Academies is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all members of staff to share this commitment and hold this responsibility.  To this end an Online Check, Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a Barred List check are required for this role.
