Are you a physiotherapist who is passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives? Do you enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic and progressive environment? Are you ready to take on a role that combines a rewarding clinical caseload with the opportunity to lead and shape services you can be proud of?

If so, we would love to hear from you. Join our team of dedicated therapy and education professionals and take the next step in a career that truly makes an impact.

The Opportunity

Physiotherapy is an integral part of the therapy services within the Eden Academy Trust. As our therapy provision continues to grow, we are excited to offer a new opportunity for a physiotherapist to take on a lead role within the service.

This post is based at Moorcroft School, a specialist high school setting, supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of movement disorders and additional needs. You will work alongside a junior physiotherapist within the school and will benefit from regular support and guidance from our Clinical Lead, ensuring you are well supported in both your clinical practice and professional development.

This is a term-time-only position - an excellent work-life balance opportunity for those who value a schedule aligned with the school year, whether you have school-age children of your own or simply appreciate a role with structured working periods and planned breaks throughout the year.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Trust and with external professionals, giving you the chance to broaden your clinical experience in a variety of special school settings. This role will both challenge and enhance your skills while allowing you to contribute to wider service development.

Your Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Assessment and delivery of treatment sessions

Equipment provision and review

Staff training and guidance

Involvement in service development

Leadership and support of the junior physiotherapist within the school

What We Offer

At the Eden Academy Trust, innovation, professional development, and personal growth are at the heart of what we do. We provide:

Regular supervision, mentoring, and wellbeing support

Ongoing support from our Clinical Lead

A term-time-only contract aligned with the school calendar

A varied and rewarding caseload in a specialist setting

Clear opportunities for career progression and service development

We are a progressive Trust, committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for our pupils. We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and eager to play an active role in shaping and implementing our strategy.

If this feels like the next step in your career, we would be delighted to hear from you. We welcome applications from candidates at different stages of their professional journey, depending on their clinical experience.

About Eden Academy Trust

Location

For this post, you will be based at Moorcroft School. All schools within the Trust are easily accessible by public transport and also offer onsite parking. While this role may occasionally require travel between sites during the working day, this will only be on an ad-hoc basis.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist with a passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs. You will thrive in a collaborative, multi-professional environment and bring a rounded foundation of physiotherapy skills. Specialist experience in paediatrics and/or special needs would be an advantage.

In addition to holding a physiotherapy degree and post-qualification experience, you will need excellent communication skills and confidence in using information technology and relevant software.

Following induction, you will manage an allocated caseload appropriate to your level of experience, working alongside experienced clinicians and colleagues from other disciplines. Your initiative and new ideas will be welcomed, with opportunities to contribute to service development and to take on lead responsibilities within the school.

We offer a supportive environment with regular supervision, a varied caseload, and clear opportunities for career development. Training and CPD activities will be provided in line with your professional needs and service priorities, with protected time allocated for self-directed development.

We are continually looking for ways to enhance our service and welcome applicants who are positive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high standards of care while safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils across the Trust.
